Weekend Winter Trip to Diveagar Beach
Winter is actually a good time to visit the Konkan beaches. So, off we went for the third year in a row to Diveagar, this time on the Diwali weekend. We stayed at the same place as always, Maitreya Beach resort and as always the place/food/hospitality was great. The onward journey was through Tamhini and it was bad, really bad. The suspension took a real beating. It was already bad from the numerous trips during monsoon (i was yet to get a full service done post monsoon). and this compounded it further. To avoid any further permanent damage, i came back through NH17/Expressway, an extra 60 kms, but avery comfortable return journey. We also visited Pali ganpati temple on the way back.
This post is more of a photologue of my trip. If you want more details with directions, refer to my first post on diveagar here.
But, it is the morning light which is the highlight of any trip to Diveagar. Get up a bit early, catch the sunrise on the beach and you are assured to come up with great memories and photographs!
